Gagnon Reassigned to Greensboro
GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro Gargoyles, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, announced today that forward David Gagnon has been reassigned to Greensboro by Chicago and will join the team on Saturday night in Norfolk against the Admirals.

Gagnon returns to the Gargoyles following his most recent stint in the American Hockey League, where he appeared in 10 games with the Wolves. The rookie forward has now earned three call ups to Chicago during the 2025–26 season, continuing to prove himself as a reliable option at the next level.

Gagnon made his AHL debut on November 22 in Manitoba and recorded an assist in his first trip with the Wolves. He was recalled again on December 29 before being loaned back on January 3, and most recently completed a 10 game stretch in Chicago prior to this reassignment.

In Greensboro, Gagnon has been a key offensive contributor and is tied for the team lead with seven goals in 23 games. His pace and scoring touch have made him a consistent threat in the Gargoyles lineup, and his experience gained in the AHL adds another layer of depth as the team prepares for a divisional matchup Saturday night in Norfolk.

The Gargoyles play Norfolk twice more this weekend, heading on the road to Virginia Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15. The road trip opens a six-game road stand that will see three games in Norfolk split up by a three-game weekend in Adirondack. The Gargoyles return home on February 27 with the return of Pucks and Paws Night, and eight of the next nine games at the First Horizon Coliseum!
