Tyler Cristall Signs with Gargoyles for 2026-27

GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro Gargoyles, proud ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and the AHL's Chicago Wolves, announced today that forward Tyler Cristall has signed a contract for the 2026-27 season.

Cristall, 24, enters his first professional season after four years at St. Lawrence University in the NCAA. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound forward appeared in 134 games with the Saints, totaling 77 points (27G, 50A). A native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Cristall developed in the BCHL, where he spent two seasons with the Chilliwack Chiefs and three seasons with the West Kelowna Warriors.

“Tyler is a reliable, versatile forward who can contribute in every situation,” said Head Coach Mitch Giguere. “He sets the standard with his work ethic and habits every day. He sees the game extremely well, makes smart plays under pressure, and is relentless away from the puck. His powerful stride and low center of gravity allow him to win puck battles and maintain possession. What you see is what you get with Tyler, and we're excited to see the offensive impact he can have with our group this season.”

Cristall joins forwards Demetrios Koumontzis, Shane Ott, and Thomas Freel, along with defenseman Artyom Borshyov, on the Gargoyles' 2026-27 roster.
