Weekend Preview: Gargoyles host Swamp Rabbits for Two-Game Series

Greensboro, NC – The Greensboro Gargoyles, proud ECHL affiliate of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, prepare for a two-game home stand this weekend against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

The Gargoyles and Swamp Rabbits met twice last season, once at each home venue, as Greenville won both games in the season series. The first meeting was November 26, 2025 at the First Horizon Coliseum on the Gargoyles Gobble Wobble night. After Ethan Leyh scored the first goal of the game to give Greensboro an early lead, the Swamp Rabbits scored eight unanswered in an 8-1 victory. The two teams met again on December 14, 2025 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC for the Swamp Rabbits Teddy Bear Toss Night. Arty Borshyov put Greensboro ahead assisted by Kenny Johnson before the Swamp Rabbit scored four to win 4-1 and sweep the season series.

Greenville sits third in the ECHL’s South Division with three points after a 1-0-1 start to the season. Greensboro is seventh in the North Division after dropping both opening weekend games to Reading.
